Two Major Works done in KPK

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) (Pakistan Movement for Justice) is a political party in Pakistan, founded in 1996 by former national cricket captain Imran Khan.

It is a Third Way, Centrist party which aims to create a welfare state, where the state is responsible for education, health and employability of citizens. It promotes freedom of thought, abolition of personal income tax and dismantling religious discrimination in Pakistan.

Directly following its founding in 1996, the party had little initial success. Khan won a seat in the Pakistani general election, 2002. The party boycotted the 2008 election, but in 2013 it received over 7.5 million votes, making it second in the number of votes and third in the number of seats won. It sits in opposition to the government at national level, but governs Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

ROBOT SURGERY MACHINES TO BE INSTALLED IN PESHAWAR HOSPITALS

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister of Health and Spokesman of the provincial government, Shaukat Ali Yousafzai said that PTI on provincial government level, would install Robot Surgery machines in the tertiary hospitals of Peshawar to introduce new trends in the field of surgery in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, adding that necessary training for the surgeons was arranged for this purpose.

A medical equipment of Rs.70 million was handed to the heads of different departments of Khyber Teaching Hospital (KTH). This money was donated by UNHCR.

Chief Executive once at an occasion, informed that during his one and a half year tenure, donations of about Rs.18 crore were received which have no match in the past. Similarly, Rescue-1122 station was established in KTH to efficiently cope with any emergency situation and 900 laptops were distributed among the medical students and house officers. Likewise, extension in Plastic Surgical Unit and up-gradation of dialyses units were done, Echocardiography rooms and nephrology units were made. KTH is the only hospital having the Isoflurane in the operation theater.
The Health Minister said that we want a system free of any type of interference of other ministries and announced that illegal orders of mine should also be ignored.
Yousafzai asserted that he himself was not satisfied with the performance of the state-run-hospitals as he was receiving complaints about the non-availability of doctors in the night shift. He warned that the doctors should do this practice and devote themselves for their sacred profession and help the poor strata of the society.

He declared that the government would ensure 24 hours services in all the hospitals of the province. He assured the health-related people of government will revisit the service structure of doctors, paramedics and nursing staff for efficient services delivery.
The minister said, due to the corrupt system, good and well reputed people were reluctant to come forward but it was our utmost effort to bring those people to the decision making forums and get advantage of their experiences and abilities. He said that the government would ensure best healthcare facilities to the poor patients in the hospitals with minimum expenses as like the past governments, we would not make the hospitals a source of income.
